Anti-Flash Engineering

Why short inseams flash — and the pattern-table controls that stop it.

Every 1-star review on a 2.5"–4" yoga short traces back to the same physics: when the hip flexes, the leg opening travels upward and the shell follows. The fix isn't "more fabric" — it's specific decisions made at the pattern table, before the first sample is sewn.

Negative-ease leg opening

The hem circumference is patterned slightly under the thigh measurement at that height, so the opening grips skin instead of floating over it. Too much grip reads as sausage-band; the right amount is dialed in over the fit-iteration rounds of our sampling loop, on a live squat test — never on a mannequin.

Liner anchored at the waist seam

A liner sewn to the hem rides up with the shell — defeating its own purpose. Ours is suspended from the waist seam and floats free at its lower edge, so when the shell travels in a lunge, the liner's coverage zone stays exactly where it was patterned.

Back-rise reserve length

Forward folds demand extra fabric length across the back body. We pattern the back rise longer than the front so that demand is paid out of reserve length, not pulled up from the leg opening — the most overlooked cause of hem creep on a 2.5" mini.

Proportional inseam grading

A 4" inseam on a size S is not a 4" inseam on a 2XL — coverage geometry changes with thigh circumference. Each inseam option is re-graded per size so the covered arc of the thigh stays constant across the XS–3XL run, instead of shrinking as sizes go up.

How do you know the anti-flash promise survives bulk? We make it provable.

Anything fixed at the pattern table can quietly un-fix itself in production. So the coverage controls above are re-verified at three points between your sample approval and your shipment leaving the dock.

✓ On the sample: the approved fit garment goes through a live movement audit — deep fold, low lunge, seated cross-leg — and the liner position is photographed at each posture so "covered" is documented, not remembered.
✓ At cutting: leg-opening panels are checked against the negative-ease spec per size, because a hem cut a few millimetres generous is the quiet killer of grip on a 2.5" mini.
✓ At final inspection: the AQL 2.5 pre-shipment pull includes a stretch-and-posture re-check on sampled pieces, run by inspectors who can hold the shipment if the coverage geometry drifted from the sealed sample.

Yes — inseam length is fully custom (2.5", 4", 5", 7", 9" or any length you specify). Anti-flash inner liner is built from bonded micro-mesh or moisture-wick jersey, with optional gusseted crotch for additional opacity and chafe-free wear.

How is the custom order band set?

Three published tiers per style per colour: a 50–300 pc pilot band at baseline price, a 300–1,000 pc working band carrying an 8–12% discount, and a 1,000+ pc volume band where the discount deepens to 18–24%. Sizes mix freely inside whichever band you land in once the size curve is approved.

Do you accept buyer-supplied artwork for full-print custom?

Yes — provide vector-format (AI / EPS / SVG) or 300 DPI raster artwork. Sublimation full-print runs on poly-rich bases (≥50% polyester). Lab dips and strike-offs confirmed before bulk dyeing.

Which logo and print methods do you support?

Embroidery (tonal or contrast), silicone print, heat transfer, sublimation all-over print, flocking, debossed waistband, and reflective transfers. Selection driven by fabric base and durability target.

Can color blocking and contrast accents be custom-specified?

Yes — two-tone, three-tone, side stripes, contrast piping, and panel splicing all open. Confirm Pantone codes per panel before pattern locking; lab dips run for each unique panel color.

Do you offer full private-label hangtag / neck-label set?

Yes — woven / satin / heat-transfer neck label, paper or PVC hangtag, multi-language care label, and branded polybag or retail box. Submit artwork once; we keep the master file for repeat orders.
